We travel to Cafe Vermilionville every year for our anniversary dinner and I can say in 6 years, this is the worst it has been. They have been through many chefs over the years, but the latest needs to go back to school or cook at a different style restaurant. I've recently read a review by Frommer's and was surprised to see Mary Herczog's very opinionated insulting review. She spoke of the slow service and the stuffiness of the waiters. I've dined at Cafe Vermilionville several times before and my experience had always been close to perfect. So I had to go see it again for myself. Service was impeccable.... more
