We heard that the Coop had been sold and it wasn't as good. We found it to be the same old place. All you can get is lobster and clams. We arrived at 7:30 and the place was empty (it was October) . Eating by ourselves in an empty restaurant was a little strange. The lobster was good and the... more

Have been eating here for 14 years, the lobster is always fresh and the view is spectacular. Try the pints of scallops. more

Suggestions for a week in Boothbay; lunch everyday at the Lobstermen's Co-op. I happily alternated lobster rolls(sometimes adding a little salt & mayo) with the fried scallop rolls - also delectable. Share an order of onion rings with every meal! The chicken nuggets for non-sea-food fans are really good too. Yes, the ordering is a little weird; if you want... more

So this place has all the requisites for a Maine lobster place - the sights, the sounds, the smell. But the food wasn't all that great. There was no wait at all at the ordering area, as opposed to the Lobster Dock a few doors down which had a long, slow moving line. Rather than waiting in that long line,... more

The best place in the Boothbay area for lobster, steamed clams, chowder and lobster rolls. The food is authentic and the location is a wharf overlooking one of Maine's most famous harbours. You can tie your boat up or come by land. more

Its pretty awkward to walk into a place and have to choose from 3 different lines, depending on what you want - however, its amazingly efficient once you wrap your head around the concept. Fried/regular food straight ahead, amazingly fresh lobster and shellfish to the right, and beer behind you. Sure, its 3 places, but the lobster line FLIES -... more

Went to the Co-op for dinner on the 4th of July, a few hours before the fireworks in the Harbor. There were six of us in total -we were able to dock our boat, find a table, order and eat within an hour! 2/3 of our group ordered "Kim's Twins": twin lobsters, two ears of corn and LOTS of butter.... more

What a nice experience! Yes, you can eat at other restaurants on the water but this place is a Maine experience. First we got a beer brewed in Maine and then we watched the lobster fishermen bring in their catch ( what a lot of lobsters! ) Then we went over to the restaurant tanks and picked out our lobster... more

My wife and I recently visited this quaint waterfront restaurant and were very pleased with the fresh seafood and down to earth prices. It is very casual and you get to sample more than the delicious seafood offered here - watching the lobstermen bring in their daily catch was a delight. The opportunity to view the boats coming in with... more
