Went to Bob's Clam Hut because a friend has been going there for years, remembering it as a fond roadside food stop from family vacations. When we went, it was midday Saturday, Columbus Day weekend. We got our order in just before a huge line formed, had to wait about 15 minutes for our food (seems like quite a long... more

Read about Bob's Clam Hut in the book "Road Food" and wanted to check it out. Fried clams were good, but at $18.50 for a small dinner plate, not much of a good value. My wife's haddock sandwich at $11.95 had small thin pieces of fish with lots of dark meat areas and looked to be slimey. She said it... more

We have been to Bob's several times through the years. Every year, we say we aren't coming back ......and then we do. Wish we hadn't. Seems like every year, the portions get smaller but the price doesn't. We had the whole belly clam roll, clam chowder and the haddock/fries. WHAT a disappointment with the clams and chowder! Clams were tiny... more

We stopped at Bob's on our way to Portland and enjoyed our lunch, although it was very pricey compared with prices we found later in Portland. Still, we had fried clams and fried calamari and they were both very good. The clams especially were plump and not dried out, as they can often be. We indulged in some whoopie pies... more

I am a (somewhat) local resident who went to Bob's Clam Hut last evening and had the most disappointing experience. We had never been to Bob's but I had read some positive reviews and decided to give it a try. My husband and another couple had dinner at Bob's. Between the 4 of us we had whole clams, clam strips,... more

We stopped in for some clam chowder after hitting up the Trading post and outlets. The service was alright, a little slow but it was 430 on a friday so not a big deal there, we waited maybe five minutes for our food once we ordered. The clam chowder was pretty watery and yeah, it did have a lot of... more

we were so disappointed by this place especially after reading the positive reviews. The portions served were very small, especially the fish portions. The clam chowder was watery with butter swimming around the top, not much flavor to it. I got the clams and scallops, they were bland but fair enough, but not enough to fill up on for the... more

NO place under the sun cooks your seafood the way YOU like it as does Bob's! I don't like fried clams cooked dry; I like mine still juicy. I live in Lewiston, and often drive to Kit'ry JUST for clams that taste like clams. IT IS WORTH THE TRIP, believe me. Thank you, Lillian for the discount April 28th on... more

Stopped in for a quick lunch after shopping at the Kittery Trading Post (it's basically right in front of the trading post). We should have left the car where it was because we drove into the parking lot and it was full so we had to park back where we started. The place is small so there is not alot... more
