We were pleased with the warm welcome and the smiling personnel. The food was very good and tasty. They are well located near the ocean and the restaurant is very clean.
This place has to be one of the reasons they say 'Maine, the way life should be'. The lobster was tastey, the drinks too good and the staff just as refreshing. I give great credit to Ian(bartender) and Cat (everything girl). They made me feel welcome and at home the minute I arrived to stay at the hotel. I spent... More
Our family of 8 ate here four of the six days we stayed in Rockland because we felt so welcome, ate delicious food, and had superb service. Truly worth every penny.
I had a great bucket list item of eating a lobster in Maine. I went to the Red Jacket, just on a whim, and it was the greatest place I could have gone to. I stayed at the hotel and ate at the restaurant during the Blues Festival, the bar on the patio was fun very friendly staff and the bar downstair was very friendly as well the food was great.... I'm going back next year for the Festival!
The service was good but not noteworthy. However, it could not overcome the dingy, run-down appearance, tough lobster (overcooked?) and thumping music from the club located in the basement...and this was the off-season! The prices were some of the higher in town considering what you get. There are better choices in Rockland!
The whole time we were there, the noise from the lobster tank was so loud, it drowned out everything else and ruined the meal. It was like having a vacuum cleaner going in the restaurant. Staff did not have a problem with this. Food was below average, although one member of my party said her dish was great (she always... More
