Eclectic combo of breakfast,lunch, deli, bakery & coffee shop.. Particularly good is breakfast served until 11:00 instead of 10 or 10:30 like most places.. They do poached eggs the old-fashioned way & do them as ordered.. The server described 3 different quiches to my wife; all 3 looked great except for the poached eggs that are my favorite.... Think about all that's good about a Thanksgiving dinner and jam it it between two peices of bread....delish! Stay away from their way overpriced fish chowder, it was $6 for a cup that barely had any fish in it. It's very busy during 11:30 - 1:00 so time yourself accordingly. I've been going to Brown Bag for years, every time I come for summer vacation. Truly the best crab and cheddar melt I've ever had - fresh bread, copious crab and melted to perfection. Atmosphere is nothing special, but it doesn't matter. Very consistent. more

Given the coastal fondness for fried food, the Brown Bag became a daily stop when in the area for business.
