First ate at Stoney's Broome's Island at least 10 years ago. Thought the crab ball sandwich was great then, not now. Somethings different. Either they are not using the same receipe or the crab is coming from Vietnam. Had dinner there today, we both ordered the crab ball sandwiches and they were absolutely tasteless. I live in Southern Maryland about 25 minutes from Broomes, Island. We were at this restaurant Friday and ordered steamed oysters, they came unopened (uncooked) and had to be returned. Had steamed cherrystone clams. Clams were cold,waiter brought 1 cup of butter and 1 plate for 2 people to go with 30 clams. Ordered 1 Oyster basket and 1 Rockfish basket, that came with french fries and coleslaw. Went to Stoney's on Brooms Island the place is on the water, very nice. However, we waited too long for our waitress to come and serve us drinks. The drinks were too expensive. Then the food finally came out and wasn't enough to fill us up and wow was our bill outragious. Too expensive. And people weren't nice at all,... more

I have been to a lot of seafood restaurants on the east coast and Stoney's in the best hands down. The service is never that good because most of it is teenagers who really could care less. You do get your bang for your buck. The view is beautiful!! more

My 2 friends and I went to Stoney's last night for dinner. We had the crab dip, filet mignon topped with crab meat, crab imperial, and the seafood sampler. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!! I cant wait to go back. more

Cold food, slow service, server's responses were poor: Asked about the oysters - she said, "they all come from the same place" Asked about the cream of crab soup - she said "it comes out of a can anyway" Before they remodeled the place was ok, the food FANTASTIC, the service good. We stopped here on our way to Solomons for lunch. Sat outside and I had the doubler, which is a crabcake served with a soft crab on a roll. Crabcake was tasty but barely warm. My husband enjoyed his rockfish sandwich. Nice location on the water. more
