We've had lunch, dinner and bar munchies at the restaurant many times and have never been disappointed! Don't miss the Shrimp Baguette or Harvest Salad (two of my personal favorites for lunch) or anything from the dinner or happy/late hour menu. I have patronized the Crab Shanty since I moved into the area in 2000. At first, this was the place to go, but now it is a restaurant to be avoided. I had a late evening dinner this past Friday (3/20), ordering my usual stuffed shrimp. My wife and daughter ordered seafood items as well. None of us cared for... more

Dry bland food without much original taste. Quite frankly I could have made it a lot better myself at home. The crab cakes were mushy and not seasoned, the salmon was AWFUL (better salmon at a Ryan's buffett...no kidding!), and the twice baked potatoes were VERY dry and had NO taste. This place is great. The service is great i love this place so much i had my b-day here. they have great fried oysters and crab cakes. The Crab Shanty is great for lunch or dinner--all sorts of crab dishes. I had my first softshell there (be prepared for dangling legs!), great crab cakes, and they have different specails daily.
