Seriously disappointing....from filthy tables to watery boxed pasta with canned sauce. This was a horrible experience. Service was ok, but the food was poor. My husband and I live in Bethesda and have a small number of restaurants in our dining rotation when we go out to eat each weekend. Zios is one of our favorites in the rotation. I've been going here since I was 6 years old (for over two decades now!). Kids-eat-free Monday nights were my favorite thing as a kid - and the zeppole dessert is still one of my favorite things. Zio's was the pizza place my parents took me growing up, and it is beyond a doubt the greatest pizza I've ever had in my life. I each lunch at Zio's once a week at least. Everything I've had has been good, but the pizza is exceptional - a thicker crust but still crisp and not doughy, and great sauce. I usually get the Margherita. The salad bar is small but fresh, and the service is congenial. more
