If you have been in this restaurant...i am so sorry... i will never return. Although the service was quite excellent, the food was not for me. I was here on vacation with my family and was recommended by an employee at ocean edge where we were staying and i really expected better. Some of the food was served cold and... more

Some of the recent negative reviews here seem to be looking for Peddler's to be something it's not, which is too bad, because (in my opinion) they are doing very well at what they set out to do. And that is to be an intimate French bistro-type restaurant in a quiet, out-of-the-way location on the Cape. Please, if you're looking... more

This is a tiny upscale French restaurant, run and staffed by a chef from Provence and his American wife. There is no waiting area and they don’t take reservations, nor even will they, as similar restaurants in the area do, allow you to put your name on the waiting list if you call as you are leaving home. My friends... more

Ok, so after reading the other reviews, I had pretty high expectations. And, to give you some insight into my background: I'm a native Cape Codder who has travelled extensively and currently lives in a major city. So, I'd like to think I have both the local knowledge and the perspective of someone who's had some other experiences. Here's my... more

We were excited to try this restaurant but let down by our actual experience. The food was mediocre and one of our entrees was actually served cold. Service was OK but lacked warmth. We will not return here again. more

Found out about this place by looking for another (Brewster Fish House) and was drawn by the good reviews. They are on the mark. This restaurant offers an intimate French dining experience. If that's not what you want, go someone else. But if it is what you want, you should go. We had the coquilles and the sole -- both... more

A tucked-away cottage in french fairytale, "Peddler's" has become a weekly ritual with my Partner and I. After one bite of the Steak au poivre by cozy candle light, we fell in love with this place. The food is incomparable, atmosphere absolutely charming and the owners are just lovely people. We just can't say enough about this place! more

On our last trip down to the Cape, my husband and I had heard from locals that there was a quaint little french restaurant called "The Peddler" in Brewster. Although, this little place was hard to find it was was truly the best meal we've ever had on the Cape. In fact, probably the best meal, that we've had in... more

On a recent trip to Truro we stopped in Brewster for dinner. Not knowing where to go, we asked a "local" and he suggested Peddler's Cafe & Grill. Boy am I glad he did. The food was unbelievable. I started with the Onion Soup Gratinee. It was the best onion soup I've ever had. For my main course I had... more
