I've been to the Rome many times over the years, and since I don't go that often, I can notice changes in the food and atomosphere from visit to visit. I live in Franklin and have eaten at The Rome a number of times. Every experience has been disappointing. Every once in a while we will try the Rome just to see if our past experiences were a fluke. The Rome is an old fashioned family style Italian Restaurant. The food is consistent and good. There veal dishes are delicious. I have never had a bad experience there. Wait staff is friendly and do their best. Can be tough to get in on the weekends. more

Take out is very popular at this busy spot located in downtown Franklin. The pizza is one size and we always order more than one to ensure there are left-overs for the next day.
