My girlfriend and I received the suggestion to go to JP Licks. While the ice cream was good, it was way overpriced. We're regulars at Cabot's (www.cabots.com) on Washington St in Newtonville, which has a much better atmosphere (it feels like a 1950s soda fountain/ice cream parlor), better ice cream IMO, and you get a much better value. This place is great. Best Home Made Ice Cream I've Ever Had So Far. Try the El Diablo. First you taste chocolate, then cinnamon, and then BAMMMMM!!!!!! That kick of cayenne pepper. Tasty, sweet, and not hot to burn the palette. more
