Rude waitstaff, claim the gnocci is homemade and is actually frozen. They kill everything with sauce, i mean everyones food was floating in it even if you say light on the sauce! This place has authentic Italian food at affordable prices with a quality and quantity that can't be beat. I live right down the road from this restaurant, I am a regular here,and have never gotten a bad meal from La Scala. The ambience is very Italian and waitstaff is very attentive. more

Ah, the menu description of Veal Verdiccio sounded so yummy: veal, mushrooms, artichokes in a light wine sauce. End result: have a little veal with your (canned) mushrooms..where in the heck was the veal anyway? In this age of available produce of any kind, why were fresh mushrooms not used. more
