We eat at Food 101 fairly regularly. The entrees are always excellent and service very good. Ingredients are fresh and the meals are consistently well prepared. The only disappointment with the food is the dessert menu. There are very limited dessert choices and the menu has had no changes (or few) since the restaurant opened. We'd also like to see... more

We have eaten here four times in the past couple years, and it only gets better. One of the best restaurants we've even been to in every way. Absolutely delicious appetizers–amazing mushroom ravioli!–wonderful salads, bread sticks with olive oil and sundried tomatoes, and the entrees are out of this world: so far we've had the pork tenderloin, sea scallops, lamb... more

In addition to the bartender, Jamie, not being friendly, she was "creative" with our tip receipt, and our card was charged for a twenty dollar tip instead of a ten dollar one. Had I kept my receipt I would have brought it to the attention of the owner, and I will not be returning. more

This restaurant offers one of the top dining experiences in western Massachusetts. Very friendly staff providing attentive, but not pushy, service. And the food, from appetizers to dessert were extraordinary. No one in our party had a bad word to say about our evening at Food 101. more

We had our company after Christmas party at Food 101. Server was great with a playfull personality. Started with Fried oysters - unbelievable. Duck was very good, Scallops and some type of steak were all the best. Don't remember desert but did get it. One of the few places in this end of the state that has this quality. more

I've been all around the world and have eaten at many good restaurants. This place blows away "a lot" of the world competition and definitely "all" of the Massachusetts competitors. Not to mention the staff is friendly. I would eat here again and again. A great reason to come to South Hadley, MA. more

We ate at FOOD 101 twice in July when we were in South Hadley for a wedding at Mt. Holyoke College. The food and service were excellent! The Tiramisu was the best we have ever had. Lauriean, our waitress, not only provided great service but she did it with a fabulous sense of humor. She provided us with a breakfast... more

This is an excellent restaurant - the best in South Hadley. The food is superb, the atmosphere very nice, and they finally have a full liquor license! more
