Perhaps I was there on an off night, but the food I had was the most peculiar food I've ever eaten! The cheese grits were repulsive. Everything else was tolerable but...peculiar. Shining exception: the cornbread is excellent! more

We're visitors to Minneapolis and I found this restaurant through Tripadvisor, and am so glad! 7 of us shared a good portion of the menu. Warning - the portions are even bigger than they claim. The small sides, purported to serve 1 to 2, really are for 3 or 4 people. A pound of meat certainly serves more than 4... more
Excellent meats and side dishes. The place is very small and doesn't take reservations--expect long waits. more

After having a great meal at Restaurant Alma, I decided to check out Alex Roberts more casual restaurant, Brasa. Really, really tasty southern Caribbean style food -- tender pork, spicy beef, creamed spinach, cornbread muffins, masa cake, and cabbage salad. Reasonably priced and good sized portions, service was fine. It's a small place, so I can imagine at busy times... more

Been there twice now and both times it's amazing! Simple, but delicious food, at an affordable price. One of my new favorite restaurants. Plus, you can bring your own wine and not pay a corkage fee. more
