We had been looking for a place for Dim Sum, and this was it! All the food selections were wonderful, and the staff were very attentive!
While staying at the nearby Springhill Suites hotel, I searched for a nearby restaurant. This one was within walking distance, but I drove, since it was winter. I ordered takeout from my room, fried dumplings and pork with garlic sauce. The meal was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later, and only cost $20. I was very pleasantly surprised both... More
I would return to Yangtze, although I wasn't terribly pleased with what I ordered. Based on the description, I expected there to be more vegetables and it was primarily all chicken and white rice.
This restaurant is very consistent. Very consistently good. We moved out of Minneap9olis 15 years ago. We went back to Yangtze recently. The food was phenomenal. Just as we remembered it. We started with egg rolls- great. We then split sesame chicken as great as ever, beef moo shu and mandarin shrimp. Every dish was as good as we remembered... More
Had a great dim sum experience here! It was all fresh, delicious, and the carts were plentiful! I would definitely go back! (And the bathrooms were spotless!)
We have stopped here before for Dim Sum, which is a weekend option. We passed on the buffet and ordered a couple of dishes from the menu. The food was served hot and it had good taste, but was not as spicy as we prefer - we usually ask for 3-4 on a scale of 5. We had been on... More
I ordered the shrimp and lobster sauce and it was the blandest one I have ever had. No egg to be found and the sauce tasted like soy sauce, water and corn starch were the only ingredients. Be aware if you have ever had versions with a little garlic or black bean added that this version has none of that.... More
After visiting the MIA Terra Cotta Warriors, we felt it only fitting to dine Chinese - we have driven past this wonder for YEARS, never dreaming the unimpressive exterior held such culinary delight!! Oh the treat we were to discover! The wait staff was excellent, explained the dishes, attentive to needs, wanted us to enjoy our repast - and we... More
I'm an American born Chinese who grew up going to Dim Sum places in the New York City. Out of the dozen or so different plates I had on a recent visit to this restaurant probably a half were sub par, two were good and the rest were okay. Selection is part and parcel of Dim Sum and the dozen... More
Minnesota is woefully short of Dim Sum Restaurants, so for some time we have been searching for a good Dim Sum. The first one we tried was Jumbo's. It started out ok but seemed to decline and eventually closed. Since their closing we've searched the web for another place and have found a few but they seemed to be opened... More
