I am a server at a local restaurant in Minneapolis. My husband brought my to Meritage for my birthday. All I can say is I really really really miss Au Reboirs. It was such a classy restaurant before...now you have a chef and staff who feign class and feign an authentic 'french' experience. Maybe it is the Chef, seems nice... more

I'll agree with the first three reviewers -- this is an outstanding restaurant. We ate there for the third time last night; in all cases the food was exceptional. Let's start with an unusual statement. The best thing about this place is the frites. Now, be assured that this is saying a lot! These frites are the way frites should be! Divinely golden, perfectly crisp on the outside and light and tender on the inside. Seriously, folks, I'd go back just to order these with the hollandaise... OK. Let... more

My husband and I had dinner at Meritage this evening to celebrate the season before the chaos starts. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and helpful. The staff make an effort to let you know that they're glad you're there. My favorite things were a gnocci appetizer (ok, I know that's not Parisian, but it was great)... more

I went to Meritage with my girlfriends and had the time of our lives! The food was over-the-top delicious, the ambiance magical, the service impeccable, and the setting/decor beautiful! Perhaps not an accommodating place to eat for families, but caters more towards the adult palate. this is a cheap imitation of a french bistro, the food is kind of OK, definitely doesn't deserve the price asked for. the service has quality but very slow. the attitude of the owners towards families are hideous! this restaurant doesn't deserve to be among the quality St. Paul restaurants. Such a scam! more

I usually don't take the time, nor do I feel it is appropriate for restaurateurs to respond to online postings/reviews - but, in this case the slander is just so apparent, I felt I must respond. This woman did in fact dine with us on Sunday evening with her family. Five in total, three adults, a child of about 2...
