We decided to eat here since it was so close to our hotel. It was about 8pm on a Saturday night and we were seated right away. After the first waitress took our order, she passed us off to another waiter, maybe it was because we ordered water to drink and she thought we were cheap. Anyway, the new waiter... more

We've eaten at McFarlain's numerous times - it's "home cooking" ala Cracker Barrel. The fried-green tomatoes and sweet potato fries are excellent appetizers and actually my favorite dishes. The entree portions are big and the service is friendly and fast. more

Went here with family members (11 of us) while on vacation and everyone really enjoyed the food and the kids sat (unknowingly) at the "rising table". Great atmosphere and great food. I would highly recommend this place... more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. We live just down the road so we eat there often. It's food like Grandma use to make. Their cornbread is sweet with honey in it. It's delicious. We also love the chicken fried steak, pot roast, and roast turkey. I've never gotten a bad meal there. Their desserts are like... more

The food was below-average and the service was average. We sat at the "rising table" which was pretty neat. The food tasted like it was warmed up in the microwave. more

ALL EIGHT OF US ENJOYED OUR MEALS. The coupon for 2 pot roast meals for 16.50 was nice to have. The sweet bread tasted like cake and was ok. Had green beens and red potatos too. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND FRIENDLY. more

We had a great breakfast here! We don't really care for buffets so we order from the menu and it was great. Coffee was really good and the server was very friendly. We left full and happy! more

I visit Branson at least 3 times a year with my family and Mc Farlain's is always on our must stop list. They have great catfish and fried green tomatoes, but without a doubt the worse steak I've ever had at a resturant. I ordered a rib steak it was cooked alright but was at least 1/3 fat and tough... more

McFarlain's fried green tomatoes were a must have every time we went to Branson, which was at least once a year for the past 10-11 years. The past year was every 2 months. When we were there in January we were very disappointed. The tomatoes were soggy and very greasy. We haven't been back (Feb & Mar). We are hoping... more
