Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are in Choteau on a Friday - do NOT miss the clam chowder at the Log Cabin Cafe! It is truly some of the best. We also enjoyed a Caesar side salad - it was so large that we checked with the waitress...that it was a side salad and not a dinner salad. Again - one of the best Caesar salads. We scored the last piece of the triple chocolate cheesecake... oh my it was amazing! The decor is warm and cozy, and an obvious favorite of the locals - many of the customers knew each other. Our waitress was so fun. We enjoyed our banter with her.More

Only offers a breakfast buffett with nothing else. Terrible options, non friendly servers. The contents frim the buffet were dried up, nasty looking food. $15, not worth that at all! Very disappointing. They are selling and can tell the love they used to have there...isn't there anymore.More

They aren't the zippiest for getting your meal, but if you aren't on a time crunch, you should call ahead if you are, sit down and have a nice visit while waiting. Their salads are amazing! They're pancakes are so good, just everything they offer...is fantastic, any time of the day, and you won't leave hungry! The staff are great and nice, definite small town feel. Only drawback is their coffee. It is so bitter, I wouldn't recommend unless you kill it with a lot of sugar and flavored creamer.More

I first noticed when we entered the cafe how clean it was. We were there at 8 pm and the cafe was very busy. Even after a full day of business the floors, and tables were clean. With all of the logs and wagon wheels...there are a lot of surfaces that get dusty, but everything was clean. There were two high school waitresses. Both were friendly, efficient, and helpful to each of the customers. My husband had the pot roast dinner. It was DELICIOUS!!! I had soup and salad. For a dinner salad it was a large serving. We got chocolate cake and strawberry, rhubarb pie and enjoyed each when we got home. Very yummy. The sign said the pies are homemade. We've been to Choteau for the Choteau rodeo and have eaten at the Log Cabin. Delicious food. We will definitely be eating there again when we pass through Choteau. I hope those young waitresses are still working there. They are a big asset to that business.More

terrible customer service for mediocre food. We waited over an hour after ordering before our server even checked on us. We won’t be back.

Located near the roundabout and centrally located in Choteau, the Log Cabin Cafe is an excellent breakfast option. The menu is numerous with great pie and cake choices. The waitstaff was exceptional and very helpful. Perfect Sunday morning breakfast.

The burgers were good as was the tiramasu (sp?) cake. Service was strange. 3 different waitresses asked if were were ready to order, but once we did, we were virtually ignored. Took forever to get the salad from the refrigerator and we had to flag...the waitress down to order dessert. Don't know what was going on with that. They only serve breakfast on Sunday.More

This restaurant serves the best hit roast beef sandwich ever! Their dessert menu is good too. We would have gone back the second night in town, but we were too full.

Be sure to call because for some reason Tripadvisor often shows them closed when they are not. I had the Farmhaus Burger deluxe style and loved every bite. The beef was particularly good and given the degree of cattle country I would expect nothing less!...My salad with the citrus vinegarette was a better than average salad you get out at restaurants. My husband had a patty melt and he thought his was good as well though had room for more which I was glad of because the Farmhaus Burger is gigantic! Staff is is very friendly and service good.More

Stopped for lunch here on the way from glacier national Park to Yellowstone national Park. We had lunch and it was delicious. my husband had the burger and fries and I had a grilled ham and cheese with the tomato bisque soup. Service was very...good as she noticed right away that I needed a refill on my diet Pepsi without my asking. They have homemade pies here but we decided to go for a piece of the chocolate cake which I don’t believe is homemade. But it was huge enough for my husband and I to share and enough to take home a piece for down the road. The restaurant is very neat and the bathrooms are clean and spacious too. They also have ice cream if you’re interested in that. Definitely a great place to stop for a meal.More
