Our first visit to Tao was shortly after it opened a few years ago. That experience was good- not great- just good but we continued to go for reasonably priced meal and the interesting environment. The restaurant has always been very busy as it is also attached to their popular night club. They are trying to run a restaurant, lounge... more
Salty, salty, and salty is how I would describe Tao's Asian inspired cuisine. I was less than impressed by our dishes, which are not on the bargain side of prices. We ordered (sorry I forgot Tao’s names for the dishes) a curry shrimp, udon noodle and beef, and tempura tuna tartar roll, all of which were heavily salted and therefore... more
My husband and I were in Vegas celebrating our anniversary and decided on dinner Saturday night at TAO. We had show plans at 10pm so we made our reservation for 7:15pm (we were staying at the Venetian and the hotel concierge made our reservation for us). We arrived promptly at 7:15 and were given a pager and told that our... more
I pulled original review written last yr because experience this time was so different. First time food and service were great, though we ate around 5 pm. This time we had a reservation Sat around 9.45 pm after Jersey Boys, which I had booked on Opentable with the note we were coming from the show so could be early. We... more
Over rated. Over-priced. If you are a foodie, I don't think you will enjoy the food. This is far from fine dining. This was the absolute worst Kung Pao chicken I have ever had. It was more of a sweet and sour chicken. $26! I paid $55 for an entree and 2 drinks. I would not have minded the price... more
There were 6 of us dining at Tao Sunday night and we really enjoyed our food, and the service, but the bill was something on the side of terrifying! We ordered 9 appetizes initially, but when informed that some of the appetizers only came with 2 servings, we upgraded all of the appentizes to include 6 portions when possible. We... more
Four of us had a reservation and we were seated very quickly. Great table in the corner which allowed us to watch all the hot people coming and going. Drinks were great (great Martinis) and the food was very good (not spectacular). Really enjoyed the night except for the one bad part was once we had paid the bill the... more
My best friend and I ate at Tao during our girls' weekend in Las Vegas. Our intent was to eat in the restaurant and then go to the club (the latter was a huge mistake). The food was amazing. We had to wait a little while for a table in spite of having a reservation, but it was worth it.... more
Tip #1: Sit at the sushi bar Tip#2: Order a bunch appetizers and some sushi rolls Read below for full details on this amazing place: We arrived at Tao Bistro around 8:30 on a Saturday night without reservations expecting to be told there was a long wait or maybe even turned away. I was advised that the wait would be... more
