Went to Cafe Martorano to celebrate my dad's birthday. Seemed like a nice classy place to take him and we were not disappointed in our choice! You must try their world famous meatball as an appetizer, and the various pasta and steak dishes are all top notch (all three of us ordered something completely different from one another as an... more

The shrimp bread (shrimp scampi) was some of the best food I've had since leaving New Orleans. The other food was okay, but I would go back just for the shrimp bread. more

TERRIBLE IS WHAT IT WAS!!!! The food is mediocre at best. Three of us dined there for $180 about 6PM and no one was there at about 7ish it started filling up. Stuffed lobster $42 had maybe 4 small pieces of lobster and a ton of mushrooms with cheese that had a taste of chlorine. I also that the lobster... more

We have traveled throughout the world seeking the finest food and service available. We have found it here! This is without a doubt the best Italian food in the US! The service is excellent if you are and the ambience and atmosphere are a little wacky! If you are willing to give up the pretense and chill a bit; you... more

I've read the posted reviews and pretty much had the same experience that all the bad reviews write about. Apparently, this restaurant isn't interested in repeat business. Good luck with that. I'll celebrate when I've read that it closed. We spilled a glass of wine and the waitstaff was much more concerned about the tablecloth than the customers, practically knocking... more

Living in Las Vegas, hadn't been to this new place in the Rio. Had a relative visiting and staying there, so we went down to meet them. Hidden up on the balcony in the back of the casino with a lovely view of the pool area. However, the room itself isn't exactly what I'd call warm and inviting. Hard surfaces,... more

As a Diamond cardholder for the Harrah's properties, I like to check out most of their restaurants when in Vegas. I was staying at the Rio during a deadtime (end of April) and on a Sunday evening about 9pm, walked into Cafe Martorano as a single. I was told there was about a fifteen minute wait to be seated at... more

We made a reservation for 6PM because I heard the place was always crowded. We arrived at 5:45 and waited outside as they would not let us into the bar or lounge area. At 6:05 we and 1 other person were still outside and we were then told they were having a pre dinner meeting and it would be a... more

We did not have a full meal here, only food at the bar, but glad that we did not waste any more time or money. Food was salty and overpriced. Refused a glass of tap water, and wine list was a rip off. Also an odd atmosphere with decore that mixes over-done cliche mobster theme with pink flashing lights and... more

It was a hot day in Vegas and the first thing I asked for was a glass of water. "No tap water, you need to buy a bottle. House rules." They gave me a glass of ice and allowed me to wait for it to melt. We got an eggplant parmesan appetizer that was drenched in far too much salty... more
