This is a great place for a family meal. The burgers were excellent and the fries delicious as were the onion rings. The children's steaks were tender and a good size. Overall, simple food cooked well with good quality ingredients and friendly service. Would recommend. more
As you would expect, the atmosphere is that of a mountain tavern - large bar on one end, large screen televisions, and locals conversing and having a great time. This place is great! Huge menu - you will find anything you like. Burgers are always terrific, ultimate steak sandwich was delicious and the fish and chips were cooked to perfection. Upscale pub dining that you can take the family. Service was quick and attentive. Highly recommend. more
We visited NH last September (06) prior to the foliage season. We rented a vacation home in Campton which was just down the road from the Mad River Tavern & Restaurant.
