We had dinner at Libby's Bistro about 10 days ago and found it to be one of the highlights of our vacation. It looks a bit "quirky" inside and out, but the food was exceptional. I had dinner here while visiting the Mt. Washington area. Cute, cozy place with good French food. I ordered something along the lines of chicken confit with mushroom beggar purses in potato/leek cream sauce. Sounds complicated, but it was heavenly! A simply splendid restaurant, well off the beaten path in northern New Hampshire. It's worth the trip. Appetizers, mains and desserts were all first rate, complemented by a surprisingly good wine list. more

I'm no restaurant reviewer but I love good food, and Libby's Bistro in Gorham is one of the best places I've eaten anywhere. It's cozy and elegant, and everything is exceptional, starting with the herb-seasoned breadsticks with olive tapenade before dinner and ending with their delectable flourless chocolate cake.
