The food here was great but hard to generalize by theme. For example, here are the dishes we had: o Veggie steamed dumplings with a spicy dipping sauce o Sesame wings that had some spicy oil marinade with blue cheese dipping sauce o Steak Fajitas o Scallops and o House salad with lots of pine nuts, grapes, and olive oil... more

Finally after 2 awful meals on our vacation in Lincoln, we found the Gypsy. We could have ordered anything on the menu. All looked great. But I chose the Thai Duck. Was awesome, as was the Tuna appetizer. Only wish this wasn't our last night, cause we would have come back the next night to try something else. Great atmosphere,... more

With a friend I visited the Gypsy Cafe on September 26, 2007. The food was excellent and the service staff notably friendly and interested in us (I am from Australia, my friend is from England). We had no booking; we just looked for a cheerful spot on Main Street where we could eat before heading back to Portland ME. 'It... more

What a nice surprise! A very eclectic, cosmopolitan menu in an eccentric but cozy dining room. I had enchiladas--huge and tasty serving. The rice was possibly the best I've ever eaten--well-seasoned and yummy. The enchiladas and beans were good, but a little on the cool side. My husband's shrimp over linguini were out of this world--at least a dozen huge... more

Well, I was really hoping to eat at this place during our recent trip to Lincoln this past week-end (March 9-11). I made the reservation well in advance (in the past, we have tried calling the same day and were never able to get a reservation). Later, I called again to change the date of the reservation, because we had... more

We were in NH for the 1st snow storm of the season. There was no place to put all the snow, but we found a parking spot and crossed the road to the Gypsy Cafe. What a great place to enjoy some casual convesation and delicious food. It was Valentine's Day. The new owner, Claire greeted us at the door... more

Recently returned from Bike Week in Laconia, but stayed in Lincoln and feel lucky to have found the Gypsy Cafe. Having been in the restaurant business since '68 in myriad positions from dishwasher to owner, the Gypsy is as fine a restaurant experience as any I have ever had. The atmosphere was splendid, the service was warm, friendly, and first... more

My wife and I stopped here for lunch after driving the beautiful Kancamagus highway; it is on the right hand side of 112 coming from north conway entering Lincoln. They serve lunch until 4 PM (at least they were the day we went there) and we picked it because it was the only place we could find that was open.... more
