I saw this resturant on the Travel Channel and thought I had to give it a try next time I was in N.H. I wasn't disappointed! What a menu!!!! The deco was interesting as well as the waitstaff. If you are looknig for the unusual this place is a must to be put on your list! more

Although the shakes and smoothies were good, our waiter was extreamely rude. It ruined the whole experience. Not sure if he was just having a bad day, but he wasn't "friendly" at all! The place has a unique decor, but seems a bit dirty. We will not go back. I was very disappointed. more

There are several much better breakfast places in Portsmouth but Friendly Toast is a fun place to eat. The food definitely isn't worth the long wait on a weekend, especially during the summer when the tourists pack the place. more

I've been going to the Friendly Toast for years since it began in a ultra tiny space in Dover and the owner would wear a fuzzy, white skirt. Try the Matt #2, it's my favorite! more
