My girlfriend and I went for breakfast on a Friday. As soon as you walk in you feel very welcomed and comfortable. The food was fantastic! This is my favorite place to eat breakfast in the world. I always come over here when I am in NYC; it's a very short walk from the PATH station and ferry landing. Deep fried plantains with garlic sauce come on the side with the sandwich. Don't forget to finish off the meal with a flan and an espresso. more
I have only had take-out from here and the food was great. The place is small and quaint...looks like a mess from the outside but that is half the appeal. Will definitely go back and eat there next time. more
I live in Hoboken and I am a HUGE fans of La Isla. It is a small unassuming place, looks like a diner in fact. The place is generally busy. It is BYOB, which I love. Great Cuban Sandwiches.
