with my choice of restaurants in New York City--this is still one of my favorite places (when I can get in). I think the food and the service are both fun. If you want 5***** L'Espinasse service--don't come here. In fact, don't come to Hoboken. But, for 4**** food (in my opinion) and service to match, I would come here.... more

Despite the rave reviews, the food was marginal at best. Ordered 5 different dishes and only the tamal was decent. The empanadas, black beans + rice, and grilled shrimp are all prepared better at your local Cuban or other Latino restaurants. Nothing notable here in either the preparation or presentation. Have been to eat here several times and enjoyed the food. Some misses -- but generally good. But, the attitude of the hostess and owner will make you think again about giving them your business. Very negative experience -- like they are doing you a favor to let you eat there. more
