I stayed at Nassau Inn in Princeton for a week so I had a chance to sample different restaurants in the area. I had a very enjoyable dinner alone at A&B, which is steps away from Nassau Inn. The waiters were friendly and efficient. I loved sitting in the outdoor area. Had an excellent burger and a couple of coronas.... more
The Alchemist & the Barrister Restaurant & Pub offers creative, fresh and delicious food with fantastic service in a generally expensive locale of Princeton. You can opt for the outdoor cafe seating, bar room with flat screen TVs or the linen-clothed tables with candlelight of their dining room. There's big difference between lunch (or brunch) and dinner at A & B. The latter is generally mediocre. I made the mistake of going back last night with my family and eating dinner in the bar. Midway through our server changed without explanation, but the worst part was that in a British themed pub the Fish & Chips was execrable.... more
The A&B has never disappointed. The bar has a great atmosphere. Shepherd's pie is a must...fabulous onion soup. more
BAR IS AWESOME!! I HAVE A GREAT TIME EVERY TIME I GO!!! The fri. nite bar staff, j and Debbie are the best... If you want local flavor and a good burger, wing joint.... this is it!! All the snobs look else where....Princeton provides a little of everything.... more

I have eaten in the bar area two times, but will probably never return.
