We visited Chapmans Peak Hotelon Saterday 11th May .A lovely sunny day- perfect for lunch at Chapmans Peak, on the deck outside. Theviews are spectacular of both sea and mountains, whilst looking out over the local fishing village and harbour! We enjoyed a nice bottle of white wine, Buitenverwagting Buiten Blanc, served cjhilled with a pan of their infamous fried... More

The Calamari and Portuguese steak was to die for. Brilliant setting setting there looking out on the bay. Service was good.

We visited in March to celebrate a birthday, as we have done whenever we are in Cape Town. The choice of venue has always been dictated by the Portuguese Steak which remains very good over the past 6 years. My line fish dish was fresh and well prepared. We enjoy our visit and accept that it is a very busy... More

We visited on a warm evening and wouldn't recommend here for haute cuisine. The famed calamari were OK if not outstanding but it is a good place for a relaxed meal with friends.

You really need to book ahead we didn't and had to sit outside on a cool rainy evening The restaurant looks really good but prices same for sitting on hard chair and old wooden tables on terrace.

We did the Cape Point drive on a Sunday and planned to eat at Chapmans. It was my birthday, so we were looking forward to a unique experience. We arrived around 1400 on a sunny but windy day. Free parking lot across the street. Being a party of two, we got a table on the terrace quickly (we were lucky... More

Having completed the world renowned Chapmans Peak drive we decided to treat ourselves to a late lunch at the much loved Chapmans Peak Hotel. Famed for the best calamari in Cape Town we couldn't resist. I had the local crayfish (three halves!) with calamari and fries. Perfection. My partner decided to go for the meaty option of 3 types of... More

We had a dinner at the restaurant with family. The Calamary were very good yet the african plate with all kinds of wild animal (ostrich, Kudu,...) was swimming in smoke flavour sauce and we were quite dissapointed. Also, we ordered the meat medium and we got one of the pieces almost completely raw. It was not easy to get a... More

Great food, you really should try their Calamari and Prawn Pan, the calamari was excellent and tender beyond words. We have a great waitress who was such fun. Sit out-site and and although on a road, you are slightly elevated giving great views over Hout Bay. There is easy parking either immediately outside or across the road. You do have... More

You must try the Calamari!! Everyone goes on about it and now we know why!!! We have never tasted calamari as tender and succulent. Do not have starters tho', we can promise that you do not need them!
