The food is AUTHENTIC, DELICIOUS, and reasonably prriced. The place is not fancy but decent and most importantly, the beer is cold and also reasonably prriced. The service has also always been excellent. More

Don't dismiss this place because of the way it looks, and don't miss it because of where it's located. You can pay a lot of money in Santa Fe for gourmet NM food which is fine. But if you'd rather save some money, not have to drive south and enjoy possibly the best NM food in Northern NM, then pull... More

My hubby and I came to Taos to ski and decided to try a local restaurant in hopes of finding a winner. We succeeded! Orlando's was excellent! I got the Chili Rellenos and my hubby got the Smothered Steak Burrito. Both were delicious! Prices were a little high for Mexican food but the portions were large and the overall bill... More

Good New Mexican experience without the fancy stuff. Attentive staff. If you're going to go native in Taos, this is the place. Go for the blue corn enchiladas. More

Located on US 64, just north of Taos, Orlando's bills itself as "New Mexican." Whether this is in reference to the State Of New Mexico, or to new development of Mexican food is unclear. What is clear is that they offer the best Mexican food ever. Generous portions, well prepared, and fairly broad menu choices. Being partial to burritos, I... More

Orlando's was recommended to me as the best place for New Mexican food in Taos. Judging from the wait line, it also seemed that everyone else thought so too. This being the first time I've had New Mexican food, I can't compare it except to normal Mexican food. And in view of that, I can't say I was terribly impressed... More

Fire in the patio, fire in the food, what more could you ask? The blue corn chicken enchiladas are super! Very friendly, and that takes a lot sometimes, especially during tourist season! But if you go, get there early!!! More

Went on a Saturday night after the place being recommended by our Bed and Breakfast. Fresh Guacamole and multi-colored chips were what we started with. Split a combo plate. Just a warning the tamales are very spicy inside. Also, as i mentioned it is not tex mex so rice is not served, only corn. Place is very loud inside and... More

Orlando's gives you good New Mexican food, such as chile rellenos. I am giving them 3 stars as they do not have home made tortillas (very important to me), and their posole is not deeply flavorful. The good is good, just not great. AND, dinner is quite affordable so it is work going! More
