This is a nice Mexican food restaurant near Mesilla. The food is fairly good but not nearly as good as the best Mexican food restaurants in this area (e.g., Chope's down the road). They have a large variety of salsas, but none of them really appeal to me or my wife. The tacos al carbon, however, are a great value... more
I have eaten here several times, and really enjoyed the shrimp tacos, salsa bar and cold beer. However, a co-worker & her husband ate there this past Sunday evening, and both missed work the next day due to food poisioning. This was verified by their doctor. FYI! more
Seriously, order them. They are served with a delightful creamy green chile sauce. Best when ordered with a Mexican beer (I like Dos Equis). This place is a no-frills, local dining experience and it's quite tasty. The patio is nice on a sunny day or in the evening during the summer. more
We went to Andele based on the good reviews here on TA, and boy were we glad we did. We arrived on Saturday afternoon around 5:30 p.m., obviously just ahead of the evening rush. We've gone to Andele for the tacos al carbon -- one of their specialties. If you order the plate "for two" it will feed about four! The pork, chicken and beef are all great. We also like the salsa bar with a variety of homemade salsas, as well as whole roasted chiles available. more
The service, salsa bar and entire meal was wonderful! We tried lunch there and returned the next day for more. Next time we travel to or thru Las Cruces, Andele's will be our first stop. more
Forget those chain restaurants in Las Cruces!!. Andele is THE place for Mexican and New Mexican food. And... the selections of salsas are fantastic!! more
Just when I had given up on finding great Mexican food in Las Cruces, my boss took me to Andele. The place was small and bright, and we had a short wait before being seated. We helped ourselves to the salsa bar which included red, green, chipotle, and ground pepper salsas as well as pico and "mexican candy" (make-you-sweat-hot jalepenos).... more
We ate here after reading good reviews on this site. We had the plate of authentic tacos and a carne burrito. Both were excellent in taste and size (large portions!). Our total was $20 and that included a beer, soda, and sopapillas for dessert. Money well spent! more
