Nopalito's serves authentic New Mexico cuisine that is excellent. Everything tastes fresh and homemade and they have the best green chile sauce. The sopapillas are light and fluffy. The service is friendly and casual. The prices are very reasonalble. Lots of locals here, too. more

Four of us ate lunch at the location on Mesquite and were very happy with our rellenos, green chile enchiladas and chicken tamales. But the most amazing were the chicken fajitas -- no grease at all, and the chicken seemed to be roasted rather than grilled. Very moist and delicious! more

Nopalitos has become one of the favorites in our Sunday Lunch choices. The restaurant is actually housed in an old historic adobe church building. It's kinda' neat! Nopalito is an unpretentious family restaurant. Alcohol is not served but the food is good and the service friendly. The restaurant is well known to locals in Las Cruses.
