Ignore the atmosphere, this gem of a restaurant is in the league with the best of New York and Chicago Italian eateries. The menu is extensive ... veal, fish, chicken, even calamari. The fresh bread and salad are to die for and the service is outstanding. Oh yes, save room for dessert. And the price, totally reasonable ... in fact,... more

Roswell is another one of those southwestern towns that has, for whatever reason, decided to forsake all restaurants except for Mexican food. Not that I mind Mexican, but c'mon, how much orange and brown can you eat before you need some color in your life? Anyway, Portofino is great. A small, modest place but they actually have REALLY good food. The fresh bread they bring to start a meal is excellent. Really enjoyed the angel hair primavera & lobster ravioli, and tiramisu. Would def. enjoy eating there again. Nice service & very reasonable prices too. more

I was so impressed by this local joint. Decent prices, high quality food, quick friendly service. A MUST visit! I got the pasta primavera and my husband got the lobster raviolli. Both were great! For UFOlogy pilgrims who travel far like I did to Roswell, New Mexico, it has grown far bigger than the little ranching town of 1947 descriptions. (Downtown is fun--much of it in a UFO theme.)
