Since this was our first time in Santa Rosa, NM we asked the hotel clerk for the best place for an authentic New Mexico dinner and she enthusiastically responded with the Comet II. We stopped in on a Saturday at 1:00pm. We wanted a local place. It will be our last visit. The food at the comet 2 restaurant is awesome. My favorite is the red chile...over anything! And the mucho burger is so big and juicy and delicious. If at some time you find yourself on Route 66 in Santa Rosa, NM...stop by and try some REAL Mexican food! more
When we check in to a hotel we usually ask the desk clerk for a resturant recomendation. This time I ask for a good "New Mexican" resturant.
