We went to Eske's twice, only ate once. The first time it was the employee's Christmas Party and the restaurant was closed. However, they gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant to try instead that night. We went back the next afternoon and had good food and good service. The food won't blow your mind, but it was very... more

Looks can be deceiving! Wow, what a pleasant surprise you will find at Eske's! Their menu is a surprising change from the regular brew pub/bar food fare. And, complements to the chef! I recommend the tasting tray for a generous sample of all of their brews. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent! And, they have cool... more

We had five people, and each ordered a different item from the menu. Most everyone really liked theirs, but I found my meal to be kind of average. I had a roast turkey dinner which was the special for that day. It would be nice if there were more choices on their menu - there were only maybe 10 items.... more

Once you figure out how to negotiate the alleyway to the parking lot (no easy task for first-timers), Eske's is a mostly-good place for a beer and light food. The apricot beer special was tasty and cold; the soup was hot & tasty; the sandwiches were exactly what we wanted. The outdoor seating area needs to be hosed down once... more

AAA gave this establishment a good review, so we tried it out upon arrival to Taos one Friday night. At best, the service was surly and the food was average. Our waitperson was obviously aggravated to have to take on 2 more tables of customers that arrived at the same time. She also displayed obvious disgust at my drink order.... more

We went here on a whim. The food was tasty, and the service was wonderful. It was definitely a local joint and was a nice way to spend part of an afternoon. more

After several days of big, gourmet dinners in Taos, my husband and I tried Eske's for a quick bite to eat and were not disappointed. It's a cute little bar that seemed to cater more to locals. We both had a burrito and a couple beers. Service is quick and friendly and the food was tasty. Try the Chili beer. more

It's a green chile experience. I had the vegetarian green chile stew that was to die for - I wish I had the recipe and peppers to make it! My husband tried the green chile beer, which was intriguing to say the least. This is a little mom-and-pop looking place, but it's great and friendly. Eco friendly, too - they... more

kudos to the owners/chef for supporting the local economy and for making many items from scratch..tho service was good..the brew pub had a lot to be desired- the parking lot (dirt) was in bad shape with many potholes. the food since we don't like hot..we tried the catfish which was far too cripsy..and the beer selection ok but not great..... more
