Loved the Hawkeye. Seemed liked it was geared to the elderly with money but I love those places. Everyone was dressed in their idea of casual but in todays society looks dressed up. My husband and I were the youngest in the room besides the staff.(I am 40) Lunch menu looked very basic..nothing strange or unusual...again a sign of the... more

Stopped in the hotel to sightsee and saw the restaurant. since it was near lunch time we stopped in - good decision! Service was absolutely immpeccable (must be great training). The luncheon menu was very complete and pricing quite reasonable. View of the lake from our table was awesome. more

We had a great dinner in the Hawkeye at the Otesaga Hotel and then listened to Big Fish Combo in the Templeton Lounge- what an undiscovered gem- there was hardly anyone there although I think the hotel had a good number of guests. We had a great meal and a great time listening to the music and relaxing after dinner.... more

One of the best, if not the best views of the lake, an enchanting overlook - the only comparable is the Blue Mingo up the east side, but attached to one of America's truly grand old hotels. And if you are sensible in ordering and time your visit right - when it is not crowded and the weather is nice,... more

This grand hotel is now over 100years old and is just beautiful. The Hawkeye is on the basement level but opens up to ground level by the lake. The food was very good and atmosphere is of the famous grand hotels of the early 1900s.Parking is nearby and there is nightly entertainment that is very good also. more

The Hawkeye Bar & Grill is located withing The Otesaga Hotel on the bottom level. They offer outdoor dining, serve lunch & dinner & have dancing to live music & cabaret on Friday & Saturday evenings. The Hawkeye is a never ending cycle of hit or miss when it comes to service. The food is on the inexpensive side &... more

Having read the reviews on The Hawkeye I felt I had to write one myself... This place is two different places... 1) While in season while the hotel is open the Hawkeye has some great food, great views, and service... The prices seem a little higher then normal for one real reason... The Tax and Gratuity is included in everything... more

We recently ate at the Hawkeye grill and found the food and service to be above average. The setting is very nice and we felt that the menu was better than the formal resturant. The prices were not cheap but I felt they were fine for the setting and meal and were not any more than many other resturants in town. more

Elegant decor and beautiful view. Entrees were delicious, but $29 for a simple NY strip steak and baked potato seems a bit pricey. The menu has very little variety. The main dining room at the resort requires jackets for gentlemen, but the Hawkeye has no dress code at all. Paying over $150 for dinner for 2 with wine and dessert,... more
