We stayed at the Pan American hotel which is just down the road from Pop Diner. We ate breakfast here everyday deuring our week long stay in New York, as well as lunch and dinner occasionally. My girlfriend and I were staying at the nearby Pan American Hotel and found this restaurant to be a lifesaver several times. The menu was very diverse and should satisfy anyone, including vegetarians. The prices are inline with those of nation-wide causal dinning restaurants. I was staying again at the nearby Pan American Inn. POP is about 1/2 block away. Great service, very friendly wait staff, attentive, and wants to please. Decor is great too and very fab. I would have no trouble telling others to stop and eat here. One of our highlights of the NYC trip. more
We stayed in the Pan American hotel nearby and went into Pop Diner a few times. The service was a little hit and miss but the food was always very good. Would definately recommend if you are looking for a big breakfast or a reasonably priced dinner. The burgers and french toast were especially good. more
This was my second visit to Pop Diner. Great atmosphere - much more upscale and classy than other diner type restaurants. My sandwich was only okay though, and the waitstaff weren't very attentive during this visit (however they were great during the prior visit). This place's decor is awesome. Feels like old Howard Johnson colors, but taking retro in a modern way. there's the jukbox's at the tables and the service was pretty good. Food was good, but the reason to go is the atmosphere. they're even open 24/7 i think. more
