This was supposed to be my wife's special birthday dinner.Her lamb chops were covered with burned gravy.My swordfish "special" was hidden under a mass of melted cheese-to hide the fishy,stringy apologie for swordfish.The waitress,gave me an extremely large steak knife as well to eat this. This place should be closed down!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

My wife and I had dinner at Edgar's. The food was good but quickly and easily forgotten. What you will remember is the ample bill and unique decor. Edgar's is in a castle, decked out with vintage everything. If you are seated favorably, you also have a good view of the lake. If it were not for the somewhat neglectful... more

Last night we ate at (I can't bring myself to say "dined at") Edgar's in Belhurst Castle. This was to have been a treat for my sister-in-law who lives on a nearby Finger Lake. We had such high hopes for Edgars (Belhurst Castle) in Geneva, NY. The restaurant itself is very well decorated and the "front porch" offers a magnificent view of the lake. It goes downhill from there. We arrived promptly for our 6:00 PM reservations. The front porch offers about 9 tables, and there were only 3 couples (including us) there on... more

Brought my family to Edgar's for the breakfast buffet before we started wine tasting for the day. The eggs and french toast were great, but the sausage tasted funny. Beautiful thing about buffets - if you don't like something, go get something else! The only real trouble was that it was difficult to see what was in each chaffing dish... more

We had high expectations given the ambiance from the exterior of the building and the setting on Seneca Lake plus the advertising. The food was good but my "special" steak and shrimp dinner had a spicy cayenne pepper on the shrimp that was not mentioned and did not fit with the meal. Steak was good. We enjoyed our stay at Belhurst Castle, where we were at the Lewis Suite in the White Springs Manor. This review is really of the terrible experience we had at Edgar's Restaurant in the castle.
