We ate dinner elsewhere and stumbled upon this gem afterwards. We decided to have dessert at the bar. Pumpkin Bread pudding with Bourban sauce. Awesome! Next time we will go for a meal.
WIthin 5 minutes of arriving at this busy restaurant (very popular on a Friday night) we were greeted by three very helpful and friendly serving staff - and the owner! The food was far above average, and at a reasonable price. Try the Red Dove, but you might want to make a reservation as seating is limited.
My husband and I visited the Tavern while in town for a wedding. We sat at the bar and the service was great. The bartenders were very attentive and knowledgeable about their various beer and wine offerings. We tried the Korean wings and they were delicious. For dinner we shared the steak sandwich. The steak was cooked perfectly for my... More
Charming place for lunch on our trip though the finger lakes. All of our family found great things to eat despite many food allergies. A starter which we had never had before was deep fried garbanzo beans, which were wonderful.
Had our first brunch experience this past weekend and found it hopping in the early afternoon. Extremely clean and uncluttered interior: updated, comfortable but still charming and appealing to people born before the late 80s. NO TV - so bonus points right off the bat. Food was as good as big-city, "high style" but with less pretension and better prices.... More
This was our last of three nights in mid-September, the day before a big college weekend in Geneva. We were looking for a less formal dining spot, somewhat lively with decent food. The Red a Dove was all of that and more. Dark enough for a quiet intimate meal and not too much noise. Even the couple next to us... More
Red Dove runs a special on Oysters on Wednesday evenings. My husband I went with another couple and had a feast. The night we were there, they offered 8 different types of oysters. Mixing different ones was encouraged. Our waitress served each plateful with a guide as to which ones were which. And they do shuck oysters properly (unlike some... More
If you are looking for a slightly different experience than most of the other "pub" like places in Geneva then this is it. Kind of stark and boxy place with not much ambiance but the friendly and attentive staff make up for that. Food was good, with a variety of choices and plentiful (salad was huge, large portion of Korean... More
Had a couple pints at this hole in the wall bar and found the staff very engaging, personable and attentive. Very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of unique drink options on the menu.
Being from NYC I was skeptical about this place. I glad we decided to have a dinner at the Red Dove. Interesting fusion menu, decent selection of local beer and wine. We loved buffalo chickpeas.
