I went there a couple of years ago with a group. The steak was good, but sadly, I must say that I have had tasted better on a backyard BBQ. Forget the appetizers, forget the sides, just enjoy the awesome steaks. For steak, this is my personal favorite. Best to order the steak for two, it's cheaper than two a la carte. Even though its well known as the "best" steakhouse in NY, and it was really good, I would say I've had better. I heard about Peter Luger's from Oprah's best burger list. The burger was by far the best tasting burger human kind has ever produced. Worth the trip but don't forget to make a reservation, you might be turned away. more

I have eaten at Peter Luger many times, and I have never been disappointed. The appetizers are not to be overlooked, and the martinis are perfect.
