This restaurant is Superb! We had the Mediterranean Platter appetizer, 2 orders of the Sesame Encrusted Tuna and the Mediterranean Pasta dish and everything was excellent. This restaurant is arguably the best restaurant in Plattsburgh! The ambience is warm & cozy and our waiter (Joe) was knowledgeable, attentive and courteous. We highly recommend this restaurant. more
Everytime I eat here I enjoy it more and more. One of my favorite things to do is go for appetizers and martinis at the bar. The martinis are huge, and quite good, also try the white truffle fries, they are delicious. While this place is a bit pricey for Plattsburgh, the food is worth it if your looking for... more
Ordered the mussels which arrived cold. The sauce wasn't bad but definitely couldn't make up for it. Salads are pretty good. Goat cheese salad is a nice touch. But my entree was nothing special... 20 dollars for 3 shrimp in a Mediterranean pasta... all and all I think you can find more bang for you buck elsewhere... more

For me, there is nothing better than a local establishment that succeeds year after year despite the continual arrival of chain restaurants competing for their business. My... more
While planning our "night life" for an upcoming trip to Plattsburgh, I read about Irises Cafe and Wine Bar. I was inspired by their beautiful website and menu. Our visit to the restaurant was everything it promised to be. By boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and the food. We particularly liked the selection of wines available to us,... more
My husband and I were traveling from Philadelphia to Montreal in late October when we came across this diamond in the rough. We have been to Plattsburgh several times and generally getting out of the car to find a place to eat is not worth it. We stopped into Irises to immediately be taken back by the beautiful interior design,... more
Inspired menu and great drinks. Be warned, there are no pictures in the menu, nor will you find "riblets" here. more
My wife and I discovered this little gem of a restaurant at lunch one day during the Battle of Plattsburgh week in September 2007 and immediately made reservations for six for that evening. We had superb food and the service was first-rate, both things that Plattsburgh, capital of a restaurant wasteland, is NOT famous for. The reviewer who found it... more
