I was so suprised, but almost happy to see Carol's lower ranking on this site. As a former server at NYC's Union Square Cafe, Four Seasons Restaurant, amongst others..I can say Carol's is the only SI restaurant worth my time or money...and I am picky, people. Though it is not the typical Guido hangout (adding even more to the charm);... more

Lamb chops I had tasted great but the sauce eclipsed the flavor of the lamb. It could have been pork and would have tasted the same. more

Carol's is the the best restaurant in Staten Island, for those who appreciate good food and wine. She is a talented chef, and eating in her restaurant is a pure treat or myself and my husband. I couldn't possibly enjoy the food after the owner, Carol, came out of the kitchen and admonished me in front of the entire dining room because I wanted the price fixe menu and the appetizer was mussels, which I am unable to eat. I wanted to walk out, but my dining partner was too embarrassed (imagine how I felt!). more
