I enjoyed a meal with my family at TUPELOS last night. there were five of us and they accomodated us with a charming little back room, so quaint and cozy. they have such an extensive menu that it took us a long time to decide between the international options.(japanese , italian ,cuban, mexican, and more) . our waiter was charming... more

We are parents of an ASU student and love the variety of "ethnic" type foods available. The last three times we have been there at 2pm on a Saturday or Sunday, the waitstaff was either too small or too slow for the crowd. One of the three waiters took her job seriously and was very personable and attentive to her... more

Tupelos World Cafe is by far my favorite place to eat in Boone. They have an excellent menu with a wide variety of dishes. They have Mexican, Thai, Indian, Scandinavian, Italian, Cuban, and American dishes, HENCE THE NAME ***WORLD CAFE***. I have tried nearly everything on the menu and it is all good! One might think having so many types... more

Like its predecessor by another name, Angelicas, Tupelos has some of the best Southwest-inspired vegetarian food around and a very cute atmosphere, although it does get quite hot and stuffy when it's crowded. Now called Tupelos, the restaurant has expanded its menu, adding a larger variety of world cuisine, none of which is as good as the burrito and enchilada-... more

Service is a little slow and flighty, but there is something on this menu for everyone. The curried chicken with sweet potatoes, plantains, rice, and black beans, was good and alternated bites between not very spicy and very hot. My husband loved his Kobe burger with pineapple. The Cuban sandwich was good, but not like a real Cuban sandwich. They... more

Went for lunch for two, ordered the Cuban specials (shrimp and a pork sandwich) and they were both excellent. Really enjoyed the roasted red pepper and feta salad dressing. more

Cuban, Mexican, Italian, American, Japanese, ....you name it, they have it on the menu. And that's the problem as Chef Ramsey would point out that they can't possibly master all of these types of cooking. What are they meant to be? I don't know. But the tortellini was mediocre although plentiful. more

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Boone. I stop in for lunch all the time. The atmosphere is great-very laid back/good music, the food is amazing, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have alot of great options for everyone, be it you are a meat eater, vegetarian, or even vegan. Even alot of the... more

The only bad part was having to choose! The entire menu looked so appealing we ended up splitting several dishes; and were quite happy we did. For such a variety we were really surprised at the quality. I personally have noticed that most restaurants that go for such an eclectic menu usually get so caught up with the variety that... more

I had taken my family here for something different. We had the Talapia sandwich, my nephew had the chicken, & my BH had some sort of "hot" chicken fatita plate, no tortillas. The waiter warned that this was very hot, not to touch, otherwise. My BH agreed once he had gotten a bite in or two. Not crazy to the... more
