My sister, brother and myself along with our spouses were in Calabash in November 08 and were advised by locals to try the Grapevine. What a great night we had. Grapevines is the best around. We have been eating there for years and every meal has been to perfection. A few of our favorites are the clam chowder in a bread bowel-delish!! The scallops are the best-you won't find any better. I have never ate a sandwich I didn't like either. Grapevines food is awesome. more

A poorly run restaurant in the middle of Calabash. 1 waiter for the whole place at peak times. Fair food, poor service. I wouldn't recommend it. more

Forget the cookie cutter, overly battered and fried seafood you get at the waterside restaurants in Calabash. That's where the unsuspecting tourists eat. The food's all the same - heavy, greasy and FRIED, FRIED, FRIED! The Grapevine makes a "Calabash style" seafood platter that has a lighter batter and is much less oily.
