This was our first trip to the outer banks and after reading the tripadvisor reviews, I made a reservation at Blue Point. We were not disappointed! Our waiter was Bruce Reese, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the wine menu and food pairings with our wine selection. Each couple split the lobster bisque and scallop appetizer to start, and both... more

We ate at Blue Point on the last night of our vacation. The atmosphere is very nice, right on the water, and there is seating on an outdoor screened porch if you prefer; however, on the night we were there, it was raining and cool so we opted to eat inside. The server was very attentive. The food was very... more

We went to the OBX for our honeymoon and this was our special romantic dinner out. It was amazing--great service, great food, and great ambiance. Even the background music was lovely. We had the scallops (excellent) as an appetizer with beef tenderloin for me and etouffee for my hubby. Both were just so delicious--the beef was so tender I could... more

I used to never go to the Outer banks without going to Blue Point. I am probably just bored with the place because nothing ever changes. The food is good but not exceptional and very overpriced for what you get. The menu is plain. The best dessert is Key Lime Pie. You jus expect something more from a place like... more

We have travelled to the Outer Banks for about 20 years, and were very excited when we discovered the Blue Point Grill many years ago- it was a breath of fresh air and a must go to place. It has never been "kid-friendly", but you knew that going in, and I expect the owners and customers liked that. Over the... more

The food and atmosphere were great but I would not rate Blue Point as excellent. It is very pricey. Nothing wrong with the food but it did not wow me. Dinner for 2 with 2 glasses of wine each was $125. For that price I want to be wowed. Bottom line... overpriced but a good meal. more

We had a very pleasant dinner there last night on their screened porch, while watching a pretty sunset. All of the dishes were good - she-crab soup, arugula, plum & goat cheese salad, lump crab cakes, and seared tuna - I would recommend them all. The total tab, including 2 glasses each of beer and wine was about $120, pricey,... more
