Magnolia Grill would be a great find in any city, and so it was an extra treat to find it in Durham. There was a great selection of excellent food, nice wines by the glass, and good desserts. I dined alone, but was made to feel welcome, and had very good service. more

Normally I can overlook bad service if the food is good, but this place is the exception. There are so many good restaurants in the Durham area the horrible service you have to endure here (from the wait staff to the horrible manager stewart) is not worth it. Go to Nanna's. Really just hands-down the best. And always packed. You need to make a reservation for weekend a week in advance. Fried oyster salad - incredible. Everything is just plain consistantly good. We try to go once a month. more
