We have enjoyed Rustico many times since they opened in Highlands in 2012. Great food, great service, and a very nice setting.
We enjoyed wonderful Italian food in a lovely log cabin. We were seated on the enclosed porch at a very romantic table. Service was very attentive but not intrusive. The lasagne was like your Italian Grandma would serve. Lovely atmosphere, food, and service!
Rustico was highly recommended and we were anxious to try it. The food was very good but the service was very slow and not very friendly. The waiter did not introduce himself and did not check on us throughout our meal. I had to flag down the hostess to refill water and get a glass of wine. We will probably... More
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Rustico. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Highlands, and it seems my husband and I always gravitate to the same ones each summer. Rustico has not been on that list and I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the online reviews but we had a very pleasant experience.... More
Rustico was recommended to me by my uncle who has a home in Highlands. He says it's his favorite place. I can see why. The food was excellent and the service/staff very friendly. I had the Seafood Risotto and it was amazing.
This was our second visit to Rustico this year. The food was as good as it was the first time. Our main waitress was great! The support staff had some problems, taking away our bread before we were finished (without asking), filling sprite glasses with water, almost filling Coke glasses with ice tea, etc.
Rustico is a charming restaurant with an owner who not only seats you but comes back to make sure you are being well taken care of. From the Date Siciliane to the Tiramisu we thought we were back in Italy. Everything was delicious. We have been to Italy many times and found this menu to be comparable to what we've... More
We joined friends for a birthday/anniversary double celebration for an early September dinner. The location on the hill is interesting being an early Webb log cabin from which I assume its name "Rustico" was inspired. It has been open over a year now so start-up issues should be behind them. Once again the food was excellent. The salads were fresh... More
Interior is romantic, good ambiance and great music. Snag a table on the enclosed porch where logs have been painted white and gives open and airy feeling, versus the darker main dining room which has the fireplace. Suggest avoiding Mondays and the fish entrees, where food inventory may have been left over from Thursday's delivery (i.e. Sea bass not the... More
