I started eating here on Outer Banks trips about 15 years ago. Back then, the place was more out of the way and there were few tourists. We always visit the Colington Cafe at least once when we visit the Outer Banks. September 10 was no exception. Our party of five had five different dinner selections, all of which were excellent. And the Mixed Berry Cobbler was out of this world. The service was excellent as well. more

The cafe is the typical beach resort the dinner was cold and the service rotten. For the price I was expecting a little better dining experience. At least the food should be served at a warmer temp. more

Definately off the beaten path from the beach. A very pleasant location surrounded by trees, looked to be an old home at one time. The best. Nothing else to be said. Excellent appy's and dinners. Went there with 8 adults and we all had somthing different and were all great. Big drawback was they ran out of she-crab bisque soup, which is suppose to be great. Upper moderate prices, but worth it. All folks that work there were nice and pleasant. more
