We had a party of four and all of us ended up ordering an italian dish. Food was good and had large portions. We were all taken aback when our waitress, Mary, gave us the bill, letting us know we "didn't have to worry about a tip because it was included in the bill". An 18% gratuity was automatically added.... more

I would recommend this restaurant as a good place to bring a large group or a family with young kids. There were lots of interesting decorations all over the place, and the staff was dressed in pirate costumes. I went here 2 days in a row for breakfast because the hotel I stayed at offered breakfast vouchers here. The breakfast... more

Jolly Roger specializes in Italian, but also has a good selection of locl seafood and traditional diner fare. The place is casual and unpretentious, but the food and service are good. Portions are always generous. This is a good place to go for predictable simple food. I keep going back. more

We were disappointed. Family with 5 children ages 13 to 5. Had a coupon for buy 1 entree get one free. Was way overpriced for the quality. Coffee was lukewarm, Sierra Mist had horrible flavor. Alfredo sauce heavy. Crab cakes had bits of shells. Just disappointing overall. Atmosphere - strange. Did not feel clean. more

We go to Nags Head a lot and eat at the Jolly Roger quite frequently. This time I have to say I was quite disappointed. We were seated immediately which was great since we had a rather large party. We were sat in a room all by ourselves by the bathrooms which was very nice so we could all have... more

This was our first visit to the outer banks and we decided to go to the Jolly roger for dinner, it was a $170 meal for 4 of us without drinks or dessert. The place was gaudy and looked dirty. The celling was covered in foil with cristmas ornaments dangling from it, the air conditioning vents were covered with dish... more

The front desk clerk at our hotel recommended the Jolly Roger as "a great casual place for Italian food." Well, at least he got the "casual" part right. This restaurant reminds me of a dive bar/restaurant that I frequented in college. The place is loud and dingy. But, loud and dingy can be overlooked if the food is good. The... more

For an "Italian" restaurant, this place leaves a lot to be desired. The lasagna and kid's pizza had cheese that, once served, was "gummy". Not what I'd expect from an "Italian" establishment. My cobb salad was tolerable, but you can't really mess that up. We were seated immediately upon arrival, although we came in after the dinner rush. The appetizer... more

In past we went in Jolly Roger for breakfast, it was not bad, but very overcrowded. This time we went for dinner... Guess what? It was awfull... I tis not even about food, food was OK, but service and prices. For restaurant of this level grossly overpriced. I don't know what they are thinking? Drinks 4 dollars, side sald and... more
