We stopped here after the lagoon. I found it here on TA and I really wanted to stop. Glad we did! The food was great. My friend and I split the mahi tacos and the arrachera wrap. The boys had burgers and they were huge and very good. The atmpshere is lovely and the meal was cheap. 4 entrees, 6... more

After swimming in the lagoon, this is the perfect place to rejuvenate with some excellent food and drinks! Some might think this is a bit of an Americanized place, but given that there are plenty of "authentic" Mexican restaurants in the area that are not trying to gouge tourists with really bad food and service + overpriced menus, Turtle Bay... more

We had a terrific dinner here, some of the best food we ate on our trip. We did not care for the breakfast, but I think I ordered the wrong thing... it tasted like something you'd get at IHOP on a bad day. The setting is nice, right in the middle of Akumal. more

Turtle Bay Cafe is great place. We had breakfast from there every morning!!! It was nice to sit and eat and nice to grab something from the bakery and take it back to the villa. The atmosphere is great, staff is great and food is wonderful. I love the fresh fruit and the great combinations of food. There are some... more

Turtle Bay is in the back of a small shopping area in the heart of town, almost directly accross from the dive shop and near the arch. The coffee and orange juice were both good, and service was excellent. Prices are very reasonable. The fresh fruit plate one of us ordered was only okay; some fruit was excellent while others... more

Shame on me for taking 1.5 years to review this restaurant. I know this could affect the quality of my post. To be clear we visited Akumal in August of 2007. The Turtle Bay Cafe was my husband and mine’s favorite place to eat in Akumal. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is very tropical. To paint a picture... more

Love Turtle Bay! Was one of the highlights of our trip. we ate almost every meal there. Wonderful breakfasts and dinner. very friendly staff and best pricing in Akumal. We had a birthday celebration and they made one of the best cakes we ever had! Can't wait to go back and have some more sticky buns! more

Turtle Bay was an OK place for lunch when we went there last week. It's a bit more Americanized than I would like - come on, we're in Mexico not Disney World! - but the food was decent. They were not open for dinner during our visit likely because they can't compete with La Cueva del Pescador which I prefer... more

Ate here twice. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful---really delicious and enough food to last the day. Try the huevos rancheros for a real treat. Dinner was also excellent, and the margaritas were huge. Very friendly staff. Nice bakery for take-home desserts. We ate at most of the restaurants in Akumal, and Turtle Bay, though not on the beach, was one of... more
