Stopping off for Sunday lunch at this restaurant was very enjoyable. Smart dining room and very tasty and generous helpings. Lucky we saw the sign from the A11! More

lovely friendly welcome, delightful surprise to find a very trendy restaurant and facilities in a very traditional listed building . the menu choice was great and the food absolutely delicious with most of the produce sourced locally or home grown. our host, rich was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and the wine list. thank you and the... We love to eat at the Carpenter's Arms. On a nice day sitting in the garden is the best. They have an interesting selection of ales, beer and cider as well as wonderful wines professionally served and stored by Rick.We have selected entrees from both the pub and French menu and enjoyed them both. The pub patrons are always so nice... Our special party of six arrived early at 7.45pm for our 8pm booking and were told off and moved into a very ordinary public bar which was unmanned. Eventually a young and very quiet chap came in to serve us an aperitif before dinner. We received no warm welcome the whole evening. Then whilst waiting in the bar area for... More

We were directed to the Carpenter's Arms by staff at a pub in Little Wilbraham which turned out to be fully booked on a Wednesday evening! Even though they had not been expecting any more diners that night they made us welcome. The food was delicious and the service attentive but not overbearing. More

Having read other reviews of the Carpenter's Arms, we decided to try it for dinner on a Saturday evening. The first hint of something above average was being asked whether we had any dietary requirements when we booked. The place is run by husband (service) and wife (chef) team. Rick handled the service on his own and was impeccable -... More

I went to The Carpenters Arms this past Sunday for lunch. I got a voucher from groupon for £5 that got £20 of food so we thought it was worth a try. On arrival we found it hard to find the restaurant as it looked like you are walking into someones lounge. The restaurant itself, while small, has a very... More

We had dinner, on saturday night. Food starts being served at 7 PM. Rick takes the orders, Heather is the Chef (she was a Chef in France for the last 24 years!). The food was served promptly. We were served a small pissaladiere (onion tart) as an amuse-bouche, like a little treat for aperitif! The flavours were good and mixed... More
